NOT BAD FOR A GIRL exists to make the music industry a better place for women and gender-diverse people.

We create events, workshops, artist development opportunities, and releases that help make dance music more equitable, accessible, and exciting.

About the Role

We're looking for an autonomous and highly driven Events & Operations Lead to own the planning and delivery of our events and programs and help keep our wider projects moving.

This is a hands-on delivery role, not an oversight role. You'll personally produce events and deliver projects while building the plans, systems, and structures that enable NOT BAD FOR A GIRL to take on increasingly ambitious opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

We're a small organization, so the role has variety. Events and workshops will be a main focus, alongside some responsibility for our record label, resident artist program, and day-to-day project operations. Over the next 12 months, this will include major venue and festival collaborations, a monthly community event program, and approximately 16 workshops across the UK.

Events

Events will be a major part of your role.

You'll lead the planning and delivery of NOT BAD FOR A GIRL events, including festival projects, venue collaborations, and our regular program of community events. You will lead on ticket sales with the support of the marketing team.

You'll:

  • Take events from initial brief through to delivery.
  • Build and manage budgets, timelines, production schedules, and project plans.
  • Coordinate venues, artists, suppliers, production teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Own event budgets and ticketing strategy, working closely with the marketing team to set and track sales targets and respond to performance.
  • Manage event logistics and ensure responsibilities and deadlines are clear.
  • Work closely with our bookings, digital, and wider project teams to bring everything together.
  • Be hands-on during event delivery and confident solving problems as they arise.
  • Help us continually improve the experience we create for artists, audiences, and our community.

Workshops & Programs

Over the next year, we'll be delivering a program of workshops across multiple UK cities.

You'll project-manage the program, working with the Founder, subject-matter experts, and facilitators to turn the program into something that can be delivered brilliantly and consistently.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'll:

  • Build and manage the overall program plan.
  • Coordinate the development of workshop content with the relevant experts.
  • Recruit and coordinate facilitators and local delivery partners.
  • Manage schedules, venues, logistics, budgets, and participant communications.
  • Create practical structures and resources that allow workshops to be delivered consistently across different cities.
  • Gather feedback and help us improve the program over time.

Project & Company Operations

Alongside your core events and program work, you'll help create the structure that keeps projects moving across NOT BAD FOR A GIRL.

You'll:

  • Maintain a clear overview of active projects, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Turn new projects into practical plans with clear actions, owners, and timelines.
  • Coordinate team members, freelancers, and external contributors where needed.
  • Keep projects moving and communicate progress, risks, and decisions clearly.
  • Build simple, useful systems that make it easier for the team to work effectively.
  • Support project budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning.

Label & Residents

You'll provide operational support across two other areas of NOT BAD FOR A GIRL's work.

For our new, early-stage record label, EQUAL PARTS, you'll coordinate release schedules, artist communications, assets, and distribution, making sure releases are delivered correctly to DSPs and that the relevant team members are clear on marketing timelines and deliverables.

We support a core group of residents with bookings, artist development, and community. For our program of resident artists, you'll coordinate regular check-ins, keep track of development goals and opportunities, and help make sure residents have a clear and consistent experience with NOT BAD FOR A GIRL.

These are supporting parts of the role rather than full artist-management or marketing responsibilities.

Who We're Looking For

Above all, we're looking for someone who gets things done.

You'll likely have experience producing events, managing programs, or delivering complex projects, ideally within music, culture, events, community organizations, or another fast-moving environment.

You don't need to have done this exact job before. We're more interested in evidence that you've taken ownership of projects and delivered them successfully.

You'll be:

  • Exceptionally organized and able to manage several projects at once.
  • Proactive and comfortable taking ownership.
  • Comfortable working in a startup environment.
  • Good at turning ideas into clear plans and next steps.
  • Confident managing budgets, timelines, and logistics.
  • Comfortable coordinating different people and keeping delivery on track.
  • A strong communicator who builds good relationships with artists, suppliers, facilitators, and freelancers.
  • Practical and resourceful when things change or go wrong.
  • Comfortable making day-to-day decisions independently.
  • Detail-oriented without losing sight of the overall goal.
  • Good at creating structure without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Comfortable working in a small organization where new opportunities can arise quickly.
  • Aligned with our mission to make the music industry a better place for women and gender-diverse people.

Experience within dance music would be useful, but excellent project delivery, initiative, and ownership matter more to us than having the perfect music-industry CV.

What Success Looks Like

Our events are well planned and brilliantly delivered. Our workshop program runs consistently across different cities. Artists, facilitators, and collaborators have a great experience working with us.

Projects have clear plans, timelines, and ownership, and the wider team has the structure it needs to deliver its work effectively.

Most importantly, when NOT BAD FOR A GIRL creates an exciting new opportunity, we have the operational capacity to make the most of it.

Next Steps

This role will require occasional evening and weekend work, especially around event dates. We will operate flexible hours to accommodate this.

Based between Hackney and Canary Wharf, starting with 4 in-person and 1 WFH day/week, with scope to move to more flexibility.

NOT BAD FOR A GIRL is dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive music industry. We actively encourage applicants from all backgrounds and experiences and are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered.

To apply, email your CV and a short paragraph on why you’re right for the role to apply@itsnbfg.com.

Optional: Your top three artists + the last event you went to.
