Events Operations Manager
About Thursday
Thursday is the IRL dating app and the world's largest in-person singles movement. We believe the best connections happen face to face, not behind a screen, so every week, in cities across the globe, we bring thousands of singles together at events built for real chemistry.
From rooftop parties to wine tastings and themed nights, we are changing how people meet. We move fast, we pack a punch and we lead the charge in real-life dating. Now we need people who can help us take it further.
The role
We are looking for an Events Operations Manager to take charge of our events operation worldwide. You will lead our regional events managers and make sure every city is firing: the right number of events, brilliant venues and full rooms.
You will know how every city is performing and exactly what to do about it. If you love running a tight ship across lots of moving parts, and want your earnings tied to the results, this is your role.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you will do
Lead the regional teams
- Manage a team of regional events managers across several countries, with regular one-to-ones and performance reviews.

- Set clear targets for each city and hold the team to them.
Grow the business
- Hire and onboard new regional managers as we expand.
- Own the playbook for launching new cities and lead launches with the team.
- Make sure every city keeps running smoothly through changes in the team.

- Keep our events planning accurate and up to date.
- Report weekly to the leadership team on events, sales, profitability and issues.
