We are excited to offer an opportunity for an Events Coordinator to join the Rapport team in a stunning location with breathtaking views of Canary Wharf. You will be part of a diverse team across two nearby locations, opening up a world of learning and development possibilities. Our client is a prominent American multinational investment management and financial services firm that values excellence in service and care for its clients, customers, guests, and service partners.
Type of contract: Full-time, permanent
Hours: 40 per week (Monday-Friday, shift rota basis from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM, with flexibility as per business needs)
Employment will be subject to a successful vetting outcome which includes a requirement of proof of a UK address for the last 6 years.
Main Responsibilities
- Collaborating with hospitality, HR, and marketing teams for seamless guest management
- Managing all event inquiries within the London Conference Centre and other event spaces
- Assisting booking hosts in preparing, coordinating, and executing events to meet company standards and client expectations
- Ensuring the safe and high-quality delivery of events, including meetings and drink receptions
- Building strong rapport with key stakeholders and vendors for smooth service delivery
- Leveraging knowledge of the London Conference Centre to maximise revenue opportunities
- Innovating and engaging the team with new ideas for enhancing service delivery at meetings and events
The ideal candidate will

- Have at least one year of events management experience and in-person customer service in a similar environment (e.g., five-star hotels, corporate establishments, or premium airlines)
- Be proactive, organized, and detail-oriented, with a positive, can-do attitude and problem-solving skills
- Possess an outgoing personality, easily building rapport with various stakeholders, including VIPs
- Be a customer-focused team player recognised for being patient, friendly, and reliable
- Embrace change, lead by example, and empower others with a consistently positive outlook
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Display outstanding personal presentation and interpersonal skills
