Job Summary
We are seeking a professional, energetic, and customer-focused Events & Restaurant Host to join the team at Novotel. The primary focus of this role is supporting the successful delivery of meetings, conferences, private functions, and banqueting events while ensuring exceptional guest experiences. The role also includes hosting and supporting restaurant operations when required.
The Events & Restaurant Host acts as a key point of contact for guests, event organisers, and internal departments to ensure seamless event execution and high service standards in line with Novotel and Accor brand expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Events
- Check event and conference rooms according to event specifications and hotel standards.
- Welcome event organisers, delegates, and guests, ensuring a professional and friendly first impression.
- Liaise with clients throughout events to ensure requirements are met and expectations exceeded.
- Set up and replenish refreshments, buffet stations, and break-out areas.
- Coordinate with kitchen, bar, housekeeping, maintenance, and reception teams to ensure smooth event delivery.
- Monitor event schedules and ensure timely room turnover and event transitions.
- Assist with audio-visual equipment setup and basic troubleshooting where required.
- Support the delivery of private functions, corporate meetings, conferences, and banqueting events.
- Handle guest requests, complaints, and queries promptly and professionally.
- Maintain event spaces to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and safety.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, food hygiene, and licensing regulations.
- Assist the Event Manager in responding enquiries.

Restaurant Hosting (If no events in house)
- Greet and seat restaurant guests in a warm and welcoming manner during breakfast service.
- Manage guest flow during service periods.
