EVENTS SALES MANAGER

This role is responsible for driving and managing events across our canal side destinations which include both Rotunda Bar & Restaurant and the Battlebridge Room at Kings Place.

Acting as the primary point of contact for clients from initial enquiry through to event delivery. The successful candidate will proactively generate new business, build strong client relationships and oversee every stage of the sales and planning process to deliver exceptional guest experiences. They will work collaboratively with the wider team to develop compelling event packages, bespoke menus and memorable events that maximise commercial performance.

As the EVENTS SALES MANAGER you will be:

Driving Sales & Creating Exceptional Events

Be the first point of contact for:

ROTUNDA: Any full venue hire, full restaurant hire, BBQs and evening PDRs

BATTLEBRIDGE ROOM: Any social events to include but not exclusive of wedding, bar/bat mitzvah, private parties, memorials, summer and Christmas parties

  • Proactively identify and secure new revenues for the spaces; follow up on leads in an efficient manner, proactively seek qualified new business
  • Research website listings to help build social business for both destinations working in partnership with our proactive sales team
  • Deliver a responsive, knowledgeable, and highly professional guest experience
  • Develop event proposals for both commercial and social clients that reflect both the client vision and Green & Fortune brand within agreed timeframes
  • Manage events from initial enquiry through planning and operational handover, ensuring every detail is thoughtfully considered
  • Build strong relationships with clients, confidently guiding them through menus, beverage selections and tailored event packages
  • Identify opportunities to maximise revenue through strategic upselling and yield management
  • Keep up to date with what our competition is and how we compare for both areas with social/seasonal events packages
  • Conduct engaging venue tours, tastings, and planning meetings
  • Collaborate with trusted suppliers including AV, entertainment, floristry and production partners to enhance the guest experience
  • Prepare accurate and detailed event documentation to support seamless event execution
  • Attend and contribute to departmental meetings, including sales and function sheet meetings
  • Maintain working relationship and knowledge of the tenants within Kings Place and companies local to Kings Cross
  • When needed, represent Green & Fortune when required at exhibitions and networking events
  • Undertake any other duties and projects at the request of the Head of Events

Key Responsibilities Of The Role

Collaboration & Relationship Management

Internal Collaboration

  • Work with the Head of Events, Account Director, operations, kitchen, and front-of-house teams to ensure events are delivered to the highest possible standard
  • Align sales activity with operational capacity, proactively managing challenges and solutions
  • Contribute to planning, sales, and operational meetings with energy, ideas, and commercial insight
  • Always maintain professional conduct and behaviour whilst on client premises

Client Relationships

  • Build trusted and lasting relationships with corporate, private and internal clients
  • Deliver a consistently polished and professional client journey from enquiry to event delivery
  • Handle client feedback with confidence and professionalism, escalating where appropriate

Commercial Performance & Administration

  • Support the achievement of ambitious monthly and annual revenue targets through strong conversion of inbound enquiries
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, leads, and event details within the CRM system
  • Produce contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and final accounts accurately and within agreed timelines
  • Ensure all bookings
  • Support weekly sales reporting and revenue forecasting for the Head of Events
  • Apply pricing and yield management principles to optimise revenue and venue utilisation
  • Ensure full compliance with data protection and company policies
