Reporting to

Membership & Events Manager

Location

Hampshire Chamber of Commerce - Fareham Office

Hours & Salary

£30,000 per Annum

35 hours per week (Full Time)

Occasional out of regular business hours working will be required to support Chamber events. Time off in lieu (TOIL) will be provided where appropriate.

Join Hampshire Chamber of Commerce

Hampshire Chamber of Commerce is looking for an Events & Training Executive to join our growing Membership & Events team.

We deliver a diverse programme of events throughout the year, bringing together Hampshire's business community through networking, conferences, briefings, training, awards and some of our biggest flagship events.

We're looking for an experienced events professional who can take an idea and turn it into a great event. You'll be involved from the initial planning and coordination through to delivery, working with venues, speakers, sponsors, partners and our members to make sure every event delivers.

Key Responsibilities

Event Planning & Delivery

  • Plan, coordinate and deliver Hampshire Chamber's annual programme of events.
  • Manage all event logistics from concept through to post-event evaluation.
  • Liaise with venues, suppliers, speakers, exhibitors and sponsors.
  • Produce event plans, timelines, delegate information and operational schedules.
  • Manage delegate registrations using the Chamber CRM.
  • Prepare attendee lists, badges, signage and event materials.
  • Ensure venues are appropriately set up and events run smoothly.
  • Attend events and oversee delivery, acting as the Chamber representative.
  • Resolve issues professionally during live events.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and recommend improvements.

About you

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience in event planning and delivery, ideally across a varied events programme.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple events, deadlines and priorities.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence dealing with businesses, members, sponsors and suppliers.
  • A proactive and commercial approach, with the confidence to identify opportunities and solve problems.
  • A genuine passion for delivering great events and experiences.
