Internal communication aligns strategy, builds trust, strengthens culture, boosts collaboration and drives performance. We exist to help more people and more organisations understand what it can do.
That is why we inspire, connect and empower our members, so they can grow in their practice and increase the impact of their work.
IOIC membership signals commitment to internal communication and the standards that define it. We have been doing so since 1949, and we are just getting started.
Headquartered in Milton Keynes, our small team is distributed across the UK. We are complemented by a support network of contracted partners and suppliers who help us deliver excellence to members throughout our core offerings.
The role
We are looking for a highly organised and personable coordinator to support our volunteer networks, member events and online community.
You will act as a central point of contact for Network Leads and volunteers, helping them feel supported, informed and confident to deliver activity within IOIC's governance framework.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
