Team Leadership & Administration

• Supervise, coach, and train the warehouse workforce, ensuring strict adherence to company policies.
• Create and implement a long-term training strategy for permanent and casual operational staff.
• Maintain accurate timesheets for staff and submit hours to payroll in a timely fashion.
• Meet strict cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.
• Maintain department metrics, analyse data to assess performance, and implement continuous improvements.

Health, Safety & Reporting

• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety (H&S) laws, regulations, and company safety requirements.
• Manage the security, maintenance, cleanliness, and visual presentation of the 25,000 sq ft premises, including building access and site integrity.
• Take direct accountability for fire safety standards, drill coordination, and equipment maintenance.
• Enforce a strict "clean as you go" standard across the warehouse floor, yard, bar trailers, and storage containers.
• Oversee site first aid readiness, equipment stocking, and incident report logs.
• Enforce strict food safety standards and hygiene regulations for stored food/beverage stock and associated hospitality kit.
• Oversee yard safety, act as a banksman, and manage vehicle movements to ensure safe reversing and loading operations.
• Compile detailed post-event reports and monthly H&S and Warehouse Performance Reports.

Person Specification

Essential Experience & Skills

• 5–10 years of solid, referenceable experience in the warehouse and logistics industry.
• Previous live events, equipment hire business, or festival logistics experience (either on-site or within a dedicated events warehouse hub).
• Proven leadership and team-management experience handling permanent and temporary staff.
• Self-motivated, independent operator capable of managing a large-scale (25k sq ft) footprint unsupervised.
• IT literate with a solid understanding of MS Excel for data analysis and stock control.
• Clear, concise, and effective communicator at all levels of the business.
• Prepared to work long, anti-social hours and weekends according to seasonal business needs.
• Flexible, resilient attitude and willingness to handle ad-hoc tasks within a small, agile team.

Preferred Education & Qualifications

• Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Food Safety Certification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Award in Food Safety).
• Certified Banksman training or traffic management experience.
• Professional certifications within the logistics or supply chain field.
• Valid Flexi & Counterbalance Forklift licence.
