The venue offers 35 flexible meeting and seminar rooms, supported by a multifunctional conference centre with built-in audiovisual equipment, complimentary high-speed Wi‑Fi, and extensive free on-site parking. With 114 contemporary bedrooms in six accommodation styles, guests benefit from both relaxing spaces and practical work environments. The estate promotes environmental awareness through sustainable meeting options designed to minimize event impact. Conveniently located on the A6120 northern ring road, it is just 4 miles from Leeds city centre and easily accessible from major road networks.
Role Description
The Events & Weddings Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based at Weetwood Hall in Leeds. This role involves managing weddings and events from initial enquiry through to post-event follow-up, including handling bookings, preparing proposals, and confirming event details. The coordinator will liaise with clients to understand their needs, create event schedules and room layouts, and work closely with hotel, catering, and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery. The role also involves supporting sales and marketing activities, responding promptly to queries, and providing professional, attentive service to enhance guest and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Experience in event planning and coordination, ideally within hotels, conferences, or weddings.
- Strong customer service and client relationship skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person, by phone, and in writing.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, including managing multiple events, deadlines, and administrative tasks.
- Attention to detail in logistics, documentation, and event setup, with a proactive approach to problem-solving on the day of events.
- Comfort working collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as sales, catering, front office, and operations.
- Basic understanding of budgeting, quotations, and event-related revenue, with competence using booking or CRM systems and standard office software.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the events and wedding calendar.
- Prior experience in hospitality or a similar customer-facing environment; a relevant qualification in events, hospitality, or business is beneficial.
