Job Description
We are recruiting an Evidence Engagement Officer to join our Evidence Services: Northern Ireland, Scotland & Wales Team as an embedded analyst in Northern Ireland. You will support our goal of being an evidence-based funder by helping colleagues in Northern Ireland Directorate to improve how evidence is used across the funding lifecycle to help your colleagues make confident, evidence-based decisions. You will also work flexibly across the wider Evidence & Impact Team as part of a matrix team of other analysts to support the delivery of our evidence-based funding project. By following our ethos of 'One Fund approaches, adapted locally', you will support the use and development of common evidence products and services across the Fund that help Northern Ireland Directorate to use and apply knowledge and learning in a consistent way that also enables colleagues to self-serve their own evidence needs.
We are looking for someone who can give advice to colleagues and decision makers on how funding can achieve greatest impact through both an engaging and concise writing style and presenting findings verbally to a range of audiences. You will do so by engaging with our Fund-wide data and dashboards, and you will support Northern Ireland colleagues to make full use of our Business Intelligence and reporting products. As a champion for good data quality, you will work to ensure that our corporate grant records represent the reality of projects on the ground.

We have a hybrid approach to working and working pattern will be agreed with the successful candidate. As this role serves the Northern Ireland Portfolio, it will ideally be based in our Belfast Office.

Person Specification
Essential Criteria
- Experience and/or qualification in a relevant discipline such as social research, public policy, or economics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with different audiences.
- Familiarity with a range of data, evaluation, and research disciplines.
- Ability to write and speak about complex ideas, information, and impact in an engaging and simple way.
- A desire to work with a wide range of colleagues to deliver projects and learn together.
- Understanding of and curiosity about our work and the communities we serve.
Desirable Criteria
- Good project management skills.
- Familiarity with working in a matrix team environment.

Selection Process Details
