ROLE OVERVIEW

We are experts at games eCommerce, digital marketing, publishing, and distribution and as such have identified an opportunity to monetize these services to our current and generated pipeline of clients.

You are an ambitious, highly entrepreneurial, and extremely personable self-starter. You are a prolific networker and able to build an active sales pipeline from prospect to client. This role relies on a high level of resilience and commercial acumen.

As a key member of the team, you will deliver significant incremental revenue and growth, by packaging, positioning, and presenting "value added" services and opportunities to our existing and new partners and retailers.

The role connects to every area of our business; you will work hand in hand with the executive management team and specialist departments of the business (Marketing, Publishing & Commercial) - meaning there is huge scope to build a diverse range of experience & skills in every component of the eCommerce machine. You will be responsible for the commercial discussions with retailers and publishers in order to drive business forward.

KEY DELIVERABLES

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY & EXECUTION

  • Reporting into the Chief Commercial Officer, you own the DMS business commercial success globally.
  • You will represent Green Man Gaming with integrity and knowledge, acting as a resource for our current and future business partners.
  • A natural storyteller, you can harness data to present and build compelling proposals including defining and driving the milestones needed to achieve commercial goals.

MARKET & CONSUMER UNDERSTANDING

  • You love games, you love the people that make them, you love the people that play them.
  • You harness this insight to prepare and give business reviews to the senior management regarding progress and roadblocks.

COMMERCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

  • It's your train set. You own the commercial forecast and P&L for Distribution Managed Services, you can spot secure and close retail opportunities & hand over to Relationship Manager.

YOU HAVE:

  • GAMES INDUSTRY AND RETAIL KNOWLEDGE: You are well connected, and well respected in the industry. You have an in-depth (and hands on) understanding of our industry in particular digital distribution, and the digital ecosystems in your regions.
  • COMMERCIAL ACUMEN: You are entrepreneurial and have a commercial mindset. By building new relationships with retailers you can identify retail opportunities, close it, and drive upside.
  • COMMUNICATION: You will need to be extremely confident, a clear communicator & presenter, comfortable with internal & external stakeholder management & can provide regular updates and presentations to senior management.
  • CONTRACTS AND LICENSING: You can negotiate deals, find your way around a contract, and ideally understand the world licensing and royalties.
  • INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE: You have global experience, and connections with decision makers and retailers.
  • ORGANISED: You are happy working independently and willing to roll your sleeves up if needed, you can prioritize effectively across a wide set of workstreams and deliver flexibly to tight deadlines where necessary.
