About This Role

Sandymoor Ormiston Academy is looking for exam invigilators to join our friendly and established team. The post would suit someone local who is looking for casual hours during the exam periods - no experience is needed as training will be given but a willingness to support our young people during times of exam stress is a must.
The post is offered on a casual basis, hours will vary and be determined by examination dates scheduled.
As one of our Exam Invigilators your presence will maintain the integrity of examinations in an environment that enables a student to perform at their best. You will assist with setting up of exam venues, checking examination packs, assisting candidates and actively invigilating during examinations.
Duties Will Include
- Providing invigilation for all external and internal examinations at Sandymoor Ormiston Academy
- Conducting examinations in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), awarding body and Sandymoor Ormiston Academy’s regulations and instructions
- Having a key role in upholding the integrity and security of the examination/assessment process
- Ensuring a calm and organised environment to give the students the best possible opportunity to be successful in their examinations
