Main Responsibilities
Main Duties
Before exams:
- Report to the Exams Officer and receive instructions
- Keep exam papers and materials secure
- Set up exam rooms according to JCQ regulations
- Admit and identify candidates, ensuring no unauthorised materials are brought in
- Distribute exam papers and materials, and instruct candidates on exam conduct
During exams:
- Supervise candidates at all times and remain vigilant
- Ensure exam conditions are maintained and prevent communication between candidates
- Deal with emergencies or irregularities according to procedures
- Record and report any incidents or disruptions
- Complete attendance registers

- Collect and check exam scripts against attendance registers

- Return all scripts and materials securely to the Exams Officer
- Clear the exam room for the next session

Other:
- Attend training and update sessions as required
- Support access arrangements (e.g., as a reader or scribe) if needed
- Undertake other exam-related tasks as directed by the Exams Officer.
