Main Responsibilities

Main Duties

Before exams:

  • Report to the Exams Officer and receive instructions
  • Keep exam papers and materials secure
  • Set up exam rooms according to JCQ regulations
  • Admit and identify candidates, ensuring no unauthorised materials are brought in
  • Distribute exam papers and materials, and instruct candidates on exam conduct

During exams:

  • Supervise candidates at all times and remain vigilant
  • Ensure exam conditions are maintained and prevent communication between candidates
  • Deal with emergencies or irregularities according to procedures
  • Record and report any incidents or disruptions
  • Complete attendance registers
