About The Role
Route Services is a division of Network Rail that provides the Routes with services so they can help Network Rail deliver a better railway for a better Britain. We support the Routes with a myriad of services and supplies they need to maintain and operate the railway, to learn more, please click here to watch our video.
This role sits within Supply Chain Operations (SCO), an area of the business which supplies and delivers the logistics, materials, components, rail and road fleet that enable the maintenance and renewal of the railway.
SCO keeps the materials, machinery and components required by its customers moving - making sure they are on-site when needed so work can go ahead as planned and on schedule.
Vacancy type: This role is permanent.
Location: This position is based at The Quadrant, Milton Keynes. This role requires attendance in the office five days a week during training. Following successful completion of training, you will work a hybrid pattern of three days in the office and two days from home each week.
Hours: 35 hours per week with hybrid working and travel as required. Flexible working and job shares can be considered.
Salary range: Band 6, £26,178 - £27,173 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

Your Experience And Skills
This role is in the Data Processing Team, the successful candidate will be required to learn multiple data streams to help assist with the workload in each team.
Key Accountabilities
- Deliver an efficient and effective data management service.
- Collate and monitor the quality of data received against specified requirements; liaise with data providers to resolve data and quality shortfalls.
- Maintain and update the data within appropriate core systems and libraries, in accordance with applicable standards and work instructions.
- Undertake the provision of data as required by other corporate and third party systems and processes, maintaining synchronisation between systems.
- Maintain accurate records of data provision, data maintenance and other activities and assist in the preparation of data assurance and other management information reports.
- Support the development and delivery of specific data improvement activities, and process and system enhancements.
- Liaise with managers, customers and stakeholders as required to undertake accountabilities.
- Assist the Data Management team as required.
Essential Skills and Experience
- GCSE grade C or above, or equivalent, in English and Maths.
- Good communication and analytical skills.
- Previous experience in data management activates.
- Proven ability to work systematically and meet deadlines.
We Would Also Like, But It's Not Essential
- Knowledge of computer systems related to infrastructure asset data.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure data relevant to the GB railway.
- Good knowledge of railway geography and operations.
- Knowledge of asset condition data processing methods and processes.
