Flexible Worker Contract
Location: Remote
About the Role
We’re looking for Examiners to join our Assessment Delivery team on a flexible worker contract for the following qualification:
Level 1/2 Technical Award in Business and Enterprise
As an Examiner, you’ll use your subject knowledge to mark external assessments and submit results throughout the summer 2027 marking window, helping to ensure learners receive fair, consistent and accurate results.
If you’re a Business Studies, Business Management or Business and Enterprise teacher, lecturer, trainer or assessor, this is a great opportunity to put your expertise to use and make a valuable contribution to the assessment of learners.
Marking window dates are subject to change and will be communicated throughout the process should you be successful.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Following and maintaining the standard set by the Chief Examiner, applying the mark scheme consistently and accurately
- Reporting suspected malpractice or safeguarding concerns to the Assessment Delivery team
- Attending examiner standardisation and other meetings as required – standardisation events will be run remotely and scheduled for weekdays between the hours of 9.00am-5.00pm prior to the start of the marking window
- Maintaining the confidentiality of NCFE assessment materials, learner evidence and learner details, and report any breaches to the Assessment Delivery team
We'd Love to Hear from You If You Offer the Following
- A relevant qualification at Level 3 or above in business or a closely related subject area
- Current or recent teaching experience at Level 3 or above in a business and enterprise related subject, or significant recent occupational experience within the sector
- An understanding of effective quality assurance and assessment processes
- The ability to work consistently within tight deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
