Executive Producer — Passion Pictures Animation, UK
The Opportunity
Passion Pictures is entering a new chapter, and we are looking for an exceptional Executive Producer to help build what comes next.
This is not simply a role overseeing pitches and productions. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who wants to help shape the future of Passion Animation — growing the business, strengthening our creative roster, building meaningful relationships and creating new opportunities for the studio and its talent.
Passion has an extraordinary foundation: a globally recognized name, an incredible creative legacy, exceptional directors and artists, and a body of work that spans brands, games, entertainment and original storytelling.
The opportunity now is to build on that foundation with renewed energy, focus and ambition.
We want someone who sees that opportunity and thinks: I want to be part of building that.
The Role
The Executive Producer will be a senior creative and business leader within Passion Animation UK, responsible for generating new opportunities, leading pitches, fostering client and agency relationships, championing our directors and overseeing projects from first conversation through production.
But the role goes well beyond managing the work that comes through the door.
We want someone who creates opportunity.
Someone who is constantly thinking about where Passion can win, who we should know, what conversations we should be having, which talent we should be developing and how the studio can continue to evolve.
They will work closely with Passion's leadership, directors, producers and global teams to help define and drive the next phase of the animation business.
What They Will Do
-
Build the business.
- Create momentum. Develop relationships across agencies, brands, games and the broader creative community. Identify opportunities before they become briefs and turn individual projects into lasting partnerships.
-
Lead the pitch.
- Own opportunities from the earliest conversation through award — understanding the brief, identifying the right talent, helping shape the creative approach and bringing together the team needed to make Passion impossible to ignore.
-
Champion the talent.
- Build deep relationships with Passion's directors and creative talent. Understand what makes each of them exceptional, identify opportunities that can move their careers forward and know how to make clients as excited about them as we are.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Person
We are looking for someone who combines creative instinct, entrepreneurial energy and an exceptional ability to build relationships.
They genuinely love talent and great work. They are culturally curious. They know what is happening in the industry — and are interested in what might happen next.
They are natural connectors: between talent and opportunity, between creative ambition and client need, between an initial conversation and something much bigger.
They don't wait for business to arrive. They create reasons for conversations to happen.
They can sit with a director and talk story, craft and treatment; walk into a client meeting and understand the larger challenge; and work alongside a producer to figure out how an ambitious idea can actually be made.
They are strategic enough to see the bigger picture but entrepreneurial enough to make things happen.
Most importantly, they want ownership.
The Candidate Profile
The right person will likely bring significant experience from animation, production, design, VFX, creative technology, advertising, games or an adjacent creative industry.

They will have a strong network and, more importantly, the instinct and appetite to continually build one.
They will have demonstrated an ability to generate opportunities, foster relationships and turn great conversations into great work.
They will have excellent creative judgment and a genuine passion for identifying, nurturing and representing exceptional talent.
They will understand how to lead competitive pitches — bringing together creative, strategic and production thinking to create a compelling proposition.
They will have strong production instincts and enough financial fluency to understand budgets, schedules, risk and margin without allowing those things to become the definition of the role.
They will have a point of view about the creative industry, culture and where new opportunities are emerging.
They will be confident operating autonomously while being deeply collaborative.
And they will bring energy, resilience, curiosity, generosity and ambition to the role.
They may already be an Executive Producer. But we are equally interested in exceptional people from adjacent roles or businesses who have the right combination of creative instincts, relationships, entrepreneurial ambition and leadership ability.
What Success Looks Like
Success isn't simply a busy pipeline.
It is Passion Animation becoming increasingly proactive rather than reactive.
It is being in conversations before the brief exists.
It is deeper relationships with the clients and partners we already know — and meaningful new ones.
It is directors feeling that someone is genuinely thinking about their careers, championing their work and creating opportunities for them.
It is Passion attracting exciting new talent.
It is winning the right work, not simply more work.
It is projects that are creatively exceptional, intelligently produced and successful for everyone involved.
And ultimately, it is building a stronger, more ambitious and more connected Passion Animation business.
The Mindset
This person should look at Passion's history, reputation, talent and creative capabilities not as something to maintain, but as an extraordinary platform from which to build.
