Executive Assistant to the Group MD & Group Operations Director

Hybrid Solutions Group · Salford HQ · Full-time, permanent · £45,000 + Benefits.

Most EA roles keep you one step removed from the business. This one puts you right at the centre of it.

Hybrid Solutions Group is a Salford-born group of specialist infrastructure and technology businesses. Over 13 years, with no outside investment, we've built four companies: Hybrid Electrical Solutions (M&E for tunnels, rail and highways), Hybrid Asset Solutions (facilities management), Hybrid Connectivity Solutions (rail telecoms and fibre), and Fridai, an AI operational intelligence platform we're now taking to market.

Our Founder and Group MD, Phil McCabe, and Group Operations Director, Jake Flint, are running strategy across four businesses, chairing boards, hiring senior leaders and launching a new product. They need someone brilliant to give them back the time to do it.

What you'll own

  • Both diaries, actively: protecting deep-work and family time, sequencing meetings and making sure every one has the right prep.
  • Board packs, pitch decks, briefing notes and presentations that are on-brand, polished and error-free.
  • Actions from meetings, chased and closed.
  • Travel, expenses and the personal admin that eats founder time.
  • The front door: triaging calls, emails and requests, and handling what you can yourself.
  • Day-to-day contact with our brokers, accountants, banks and key suppliers.
  • Spotting what's slipping and building the systems that fix it.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
