About Alvarez & Marsal
Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is a global consulting firm with entrepreneurial, action and results-oriented professionals. We take a hands-on approach to solving our clients' problems and assisting them in reaching their potential. Our culture celebrates independent thinkers and doers who positively impact our clients and shape our industry. The collaborative environment and engaging work—guided by A&M's core values of Integrity, Quality, Objectivity, Fun, Personal Reward, and Inclusive Diversity—are why our people love working at A&M.
The Team
This EA role is to support three relatively newly formed teams as they begin to develop. As a result, there will be scope to develop the role and shift focus as the teams develop their own critical mass.
The Real Estate Team is a client facing team working on Restructuring engagements in the Real Estate Sector. The Reputation Advisory team is a new Service Line at A&M formed earlier this year, which helps clients manage their strategic communications. The Restructuring Sales Team is an internal A&M function which supports Business Development across our European Restructuring practice by helping the business identify leads, develop sector targeting and organise BD events.
How you will contribute
The 3 teams are co-located in our London office allowing you to support 3 teams providing the full range of support for the 3 Managing Directors along with wider team support for internal and external initiatives.
The role will provide a variety of tasks and colleagues to support. As the three component teams develop, there will be an opportunity for the successful candidate to both shape their role and focus on a chosen area as the workloads grow with the development of the three separate teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
