Executive Assistant – Financial Sponsors, Investment Banking
West End, London | £70,000–£80,000 + Bonus & Benefits | 4 Days in the Office
We are partnering with a fast-growing global investment bank to appoint an experienced Executive Assistant to join its expanding Financial Sponsors team in London.
This is an opportunity to work at the heart of a growing front-office team, initially supporting a Senior Managing Director, Managing Director and Vice President. With further hires planned, the team is expected to grow to around eight people, giving the successful EA the opportunity to become an integral part of the team as it develops.
You’ll be joining an established and collaborative EA function where assistants are trusted to take ownership, use their judgement and build genuine partnerships with the senior professionals they support.
This isn’t a role for someone who simply manages diaries. The team is looking for an EA who understands the pace of front-office financial services, can anticipate what is coming next and enjoys being relied upon by senior stakeholders.
The Role
- Provide high-level EA support to a Senior Managing Director, Managing Director and Vice President, with broader team support as the function grows.
- Take ownership of complex, frequently changing diaries across multiple international time zones.
- Coordinate extensive UK and international travel, including detailed itineraries, visas and end-to-end logistics.
- Anticipate diary pressures, identify potential conflicts and resolve issues before they arise.
- Coordinate client meetings, internal meetings, conference calls and video conferences.
- Ensure senior stakeholders are fully prepared for meetings, travel and key commitments.
- Prepare meeting materials, itineraries and briefing information.
- Manage expenses accurately and efficiently.
- Build strong relationships with clients, colleagues and EAs across the wider business.
- Support the onboarding of new team members as the London team expands.
- Assist with team events, off-sites and wider team initiatives.
- Work closely with the wider EA team to ensure seamless support and cover.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
