Key Responsibilities

- Manage the CEO’s inbox, ensuring non-client emails are responded to promptly and follow-up correspondence is drafted and sent as required.
- Act as a central point of contact for the senior management team, employees, clients, and external suppliers, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Screen incoming phone calls on behalf of the CEO, using judgement to prioritise and redirect enquiries appropriately.
- Ensure information is communicated across the business in a timely, accurate, and appropriate manner.
- Use the CRM system proactively to support client relationship management and development.
- Track and coordinate business development activity, ensuring follow-up actions are diarised, monitored, and completed.

- Record time and expenses accurately in line with internal processes.
- Prepare, draft, amend, and format correspondence, documents, presentations, and reports, ensuring a high standard of accuracy and presentation.
- Support ad hoc projects and initiatives, contributing to both operational and strategic activity.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism at all times.
- Uphold the organisation’s values, culture, and professional standards in all interactions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
