Founding EA | AI Start-Up | London

We're looking for an absolute superstar. No ego. No job too small. And a HUGE appetite for building something from scratch!

And when we say from scratch, we really mean it.

We're working with a seriously exciting, incredibly early-stage AI start-up founded by researchers from some of the world's leading AI labs (think Google, Microsoft) and backed by top-tier venture investors.

The ambition is enormous. The team is 30+ and they're growing with some very exciting new hires in the pipeline.

They're looking for their very first EA. Someone who gets genuinely excited about rolling up their sleeves, figuring things out, making things happen and helping build a company from the ground up.

This is not your typical EA role. There are no established processes, no big support functions and certainly no neatly written playbook. You'll be helping to write it.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting the CEO and founding leadership team with complex diaries, travel, meetings, and priorities
  • Coordinating investor meetings and keeping things moving behind the scenes
  • Helping recruit brilliant people and grow the team
  • Setting up an office, putting systems and processes in place, and generally making things work
  • Getting stuck into whatever needs doing, from high-level executive support to the most basic operational tasks
  • Spotting problems, finding solutions, and bringing order to the inevitable start-up chaos

We're looking for:

  • Someone exceptionally bright, resourceful, energetic, and completely unflappable.
  • Solid, recent experience supporting founders, C-suite executives, or senior leaders, ideally in tech, VC, PE, or another fast-moving environment.
  • Absolutely no ego. You're just as happy booking a flight as you are building an office, dealing with investors, or assembling the furniture.
  • Curious, commercially aware, brilliantly organized, and naturally ten steps ahead. You don't wait to be told what to do. You see what needs doing and get on with it.
  • Start-up experience would be fantastic, but it's your attitude, judgement, energy, and willingness to get your hands dirty that will really set you apart.
