Executive Assistant

Salary: £37,160 per annum
Location: Teddington, London
Working Arrangement: Hybrid, combining office-based working in Teddington with home working by agreement with the line manager
Contract: Full-time, permanent, with some flexibility over working hours and days

Overview

Our client is an established international humanitarian and development charity seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to three senior leaders across operations, legal and risk, and internal audit.

The role will provide strategic and proactive administrative support, enabling senior leaders to operate effectively while managing confidential and sensitive information. You will work across different cultures, functions and time zones, requiring strong judgement, flexibility and excellent organisational skills.

This position offers broad exposure to senior-level activity across a complex international organisation and requires an experienced Executive Assistant who can manage competing priorities and build effective working relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and proactive administrative support to the Operations Director.
  • Support the Head of Legal & Risk and Head of Internal Audit with timely and effective administration.
  • Manage confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion.
  • Coordinate multiple priorities, tasks and activities simultaneously.
  • Organise and support travel arrangements.
  • Work effectively across different functions, cultures and time zones.
  • Support project management activity as required.
  • Coordinate the administration of organisational policies.
  • Build effective relationships with senior stakeholders and colleagues across the organisation.
  • Prioritise workloads effectively in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail across administrative activities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience providing Executive Assistant support at Director level within a demanding environment.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong intercultural communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and perform well under pressure.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Competence in travel planning.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience administering organisational policies.
  • Flexibility and creativity when working across different cultures, functions and time zones.
