An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Executive Assistant to join a leading global law firm, providing dedicated 1:1 support to a Senior Partner on a 12–14 month maternity cover basis.

This is a highly visible senior level role within the firm, providing the opportunity to work closely with the Senior Partner on a wide range of client and business matters. The position will involve regular interaction with senior stakeholders across Finance, HR, Marketing, IT and other key business support functions as well as external high profile clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering comprehensive 1:1 executive support to the Senior Partner.
  • Overseeing a complex and ever-changing diary, coordinating meetings, appointments and competing demands.
  • Managing multiple priorities and ensuring deadlines, processes and follow-up actions are handled efficiently.
  • Assisting with client matters, business development activities and senior stakeholder meetings.
  • Producing and preparing professional presentations, reports, correspondence and other business documentation.
  • Supporting meetings by preparing agendas, recording accurate minutes and monitoring actions through to completion.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders and high profile clients, building strong and professional relationships.
  • Managing highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in a similar role providing high-level support to a Senior Partner, Senior Stakeholder or equivalent within a professional services environment; ideally within a law firm.
  • Highly organised and confident, with the professionalism required to operate effectively at senior level.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly across Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the confidence to engage effectively with people at all levels.
  • Commercially astute, with excellent written, numerical and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated and solutions-focused, with the ability to take ownership of tasks, manage processes and resolve issues independently.
  • Adaptable and composed under pressure, with the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities within a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience handling financial administration, along with familiarity with iManage, would be advantageous.
