EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT / PA TO COMMERCIAL EXECUTIVE
HOUSE OF ROBOTICS | LEC ROBOTICS
Fulham, London | Full time, office based five days a week | £33,000 to £40,000 plus 2 percent commission on net sales revenue
Are you an EA or PA who is brilliant with people and has ever thought you could be good at sales?
Perhaps you are already an Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant. Maybe you work in events, hospitality, client services or another highly people focused role. You are confident, bubbly, organised, professional and naturally good at building relationships, but you may never have considered applying for a traditional sales job.
We want to meet you.
LEC Robotics is hiring five people at the same time to form a new commercial team at our London headquarters, the House of Robotics. We are not looking for five traditional salespeople. We are looking for people with the personality, organisation and relationship building skills you often find in brilliant EAs and PAs, and we want to give them the opportunity to build a career in one of the fastest growing industries in the world: robotics and AI.
WHO WE ARE
LEC Robotics is part of London Export Corporation, one of the UK's longest established trading companies, founded in 1951 with more than seventy years of UK China trade history through the 48 Group. We distribute and deploy commercial service robots across the UK, we are expanding into many categories of robotics as the industry grows, and our own AI platform runs the whole group. The House of Robotics is our Fulham headquarters: a working showroom where companies experience robots live, with our offices above it.
THE ROLE
Your job is to help bring companies into the world of robotics.
You will generate new leads, respond to leads that come into LEC Robotics, contact prospective customers and invite companies and decision makers into the House of Robotics. Once they arrive, you will help host them, introduce them to our technology, organise demonstrations and events, understand their businesses and help educate them on where robotics could make a difference.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This is relationship led sales. You are not expected to arrive as a robotics expert. We will teach you the technology, the products and the industry. What we need from you is energy, confidence, organisation, curiosity and the ability to make people feel comfortable.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Generating new business leads through phone, email, LinkedIn, networking and events.
- Responding quickly and professionally to inbound enquiries.
- Identifying companies and decision makers who could benefit from robotics.
- Inviting prospective customers to visit the House of Robotics.
- Organising meetings, demonstrations and customer visits, and hosting customers to create an exceptional experience.
- Attending events and building new commercial relationships.
- Being part of the public face of LEC Robotics on social media, appearing in content filmed at the House of Robotics and helping teach the world about robotics.
- Following up with prospects and managing your own pipeline.
- Learning about robotics technologies and explaining them clearly to customers.
- Understanding what a business is trying to achieve and connecting them with the right robotics solutions.
- Working alongside the other four members of your team to generate activity, opportunities and sales.
- Helping turn initial interest in robotics into genuine commercial projects.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You might currently be an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, Team Assistant, Events Executive, Client Services Executive, Account Executive, Brand Ambassador, Hospitality Professional or Business Development Executive.
Previous robotics experience is not required. Previous sales experience is not essential either.
We are much more interested in whether you are:
- Bubbly, confident and naturally good with people.
- Highly organised, with nothing you own getting dropped.
- Professional and polished when meeting clients, and comfortable speaking to senior executives and decision makers.
- Happy picking up the phone and approaching new people, and persistent at following up.
- Commercially minded and motivated by targets.
- Curious about technology, AI and robotics, and comfortable appearing on camera and on social media as part of the team.
- Ambitious and interested in building a career rather than simply finding another job.

BEFORE YOU APPLY
One thing to be honest about. This is a genuinely fast paced place. The days are full, things move quickly and we expect quick responses and real energy. It is exciting, but it is not a work life balance role, and we would rather say that now than surprise you later. If that pace sounds like you, read on.
WHY WE ARE HIRING FIVE PEOPLE TOGETHER
We want this to feel different from joining a traditional sales department. All five of you join as one new commercial team. You will learn the industry together, learn the technology together, share ideas and contacts, host events together and build the commercial energy around the House of Robotics.
Your objective is simple. Get companies through the door. Get them excited about robotics. Understand their problems. Build the relationship. Create commercial opportunities.
SALARY, COMMISSION AND PROGRESSION
£32,000 to £40,000 basic salary depending on experience, plus 2 percent commission on net sales revenue from your sales, uncapped. To make that real: £500,000 of qualifying net sales revenue in a year would add £10,000 on top of your salary, and there is no ceiling. Robotics deals grow, and so does your commission.
Top performers will grow into senior commercial roles as the company scales. We are at the start of something big and the people who join now will rise with it.
Three month probation applies, as it does for every role at every level of the company including the CEO.
HOW WE HIRE
Apply with your CV and a few lines on why this caught your eye. Strong candidates receive a short set of written questions, answer them honestly and quickly, that is the first test. Then an in person interview at the House of Robotics where you will meet the robots yourself. We move fast on the right people.
