About The Role

The Executive Assistant supports the delivery of critical activities for senior functional leadership, enabling executive effectiveness and operational efficiency through high-quality administrative, organisational and stakeholder support.

The role acts as a trusted partner to senior leaders, coordinating priorities, managing key processes and ensuring alignment across teams and stakeholders. The Executive Assistant provides subject matter expertise in executive support, administrative processes and business coordination, helping leaders focus on strategic priorities while maintaining smooth day-to-day operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

Executive Support & Coordination

  • Deliver high-quality executive support including diary management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements and expense management.
  • Manage competing priorities and coordinate leadership activities to maximise executive effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

Project & Process Management

  • Own and manage selected team projects and business processes.
  • Develop timelines, schedules and delivery plans to ensure milestones and deliverables are achieved.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across BT and with external contacts.
  • Coordinate activities and communications across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Support collaboration and alignment across teams and programmes.

Business Operations

  • Maintain project documentation, records and filing systems.
  • Provide reporting, analysis and administrative support to enable informed decision-making.
  • Monitor budgets and support planning activities for assigned projects and processes.

  • Act as a subject matter expert for administrative systems, processes and ways of working.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness and stakeholder experience.
  • Promote best practice across executive support activities.

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Executive Support & Prioritisation – Proven experience supporting senior leaders, managing complex diaries, competing priorities and sensitive communications while enabling executive effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication – Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to establish credibility quickly and work confidently with senior stakeholders across a complex organisation.
  • Organisation & Delivery – Highly organised with strong attention to detail, able to coordinate multiple activities, projects and business processes whilst consistently delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Commercial Awareness & Judgement – Strong business acumen, analytical thinking and problem-solving capability, with the confidence to make decisions, manage ambiguity and drive continuous improvement.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Experience supporting Directors, General Counsel, Leadership Teams or Executive-level stakeholders.
  • Experience coordinating projects, programmes or business transformation activities.
  • Budget monitoring, reporting and financial administration experience.
  • Event planning and leadership team meeting coordination experience.
  • Experience of document management, records management and governance processes.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, including the ability to present information clearly and support business decision-making.
  • Experience working within a large, complex and matrixed organisation.
  • Knowledge of project management approaches, tools and methodologies.
