Executive Assistant to CEO - Purpose-led Scale-up!

Location: London, four days in the office, one from home
Reports to: CEO (direct 1:1 support)
Salary: £70-90k, plus an excellent benefits package

About the business

Our client is a fast-growing, purpose-led scale-up in London. It is founder-led, well funded and moving quickly, with an ambitious, hands-on culture built on ownership, proactivity and a strong sense of belonging.

The role

This is a true right-hand role, supporting the CEO one-to-one across both business and personal matters. The balance shifts week to week: some weeks it is an even split, others it is mostly personal. That could mean anything from complex travel and diary changes to booking flights, organising family occasions or dealing with insurance providers. You need to be completely comfortable with that range.

Your mission is to protect the CEO's time, energy and focus so they can operate at maximum impact. You'll create calm from chaos, anticipate what's needed before you're asked and solve problems before they become visible.

The CEO is calm, measured and methodical, and does a huge amount behind the scenes. They prefer not to be bombarded and tend to work through things in batches, so you'll need to adapt to that rhythm, filter what reaches them and keep things moving in the background without being chased.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you'll own

  • CEO diary, travel and meeting management
  • Business and personal administration
  • Inbox management and priority coordination
  • Running the executive rhythm and keeping the leadership team aligned
  • Meeting preparation, briefing materials and follow-up
  • Protecting the CEO's focus, time and priorities

What success looks like

In your first 90 days you'll have taken full ownership of the diary, travel and inbox, built strong relationships with the leadership team and key external stakeholders, reduced the CEO's admin load and put a clear executive rhythm in place. By 12 months you'll be operating as a true extension of the CEO, using your own judgement without needing constant input, with meetings, travel and follow-up running with near-zero friction and the CEO's time focused on strategy and decisions rather than admin.

About you

  • At least 5 years' experience as EA to the founder of a founder-led business turning over £10m+
  • A genuine self-starter: you fill quiet moments with useful work and never wait to be told
  • Calm and composed on the surface, getting a lot done behind the scenes
  • Happy to roll your sleeves up on personal tasks as well as business ones
  • A start-up or scale-up mindset: proactive, go-getting and tech-savvy
  • Highly reliable: when you say you've got it, nobody needs to check
  • Completely discreet and trustworthy with highly sensitive information
  • Full UK driving licence
