We are delighted to be supporting a highly successful and high-profile Group business with the appointment of an Executive Assistant to the CEO.
This is a business-critical appointment and an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant to become a trusted partner to the CEO of a dynamic, ambitious and fast-paced organisation with a strong presence across Bristol and London.
This is much more than a traditional EA position. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the CEO is able to operate at maximum effectiveness, providing exceptional executive support while acting as a highly trusted gatekeeper, organiser and facilitator across the wider Group.
The Role
Working closely with the CEO, you will manage a complex and demanding diary, anticipate requirements, ensure priorities remain focused and facilitate effective relationships with senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
The role will involve managing competing priorities in a fast-moving environment, often working to tight deadlines and responding quickly to changing business requirements. You will be expected to anticipate what is needed rather than simply react to requests.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing outstanding, proactive executive support to the CEO.
- Managing an often complex and constantly changing diary, ensuring the CEO's time is prioritised effectively.
- Coordinating meetings, agendas, papers and follow-up actions.
- Preparing the CEO for meetings, presentations and key business engagements.
- Managing travel arrangements and detailed itineraries, including international travel where required.
- Acting as a highly effective gatekeeper and ensuring the CEO is appropriately connected to key stakeholders.
- Building strong relationships with senior executives, Board members, clients, partners and other external stakeholders.
- Coordinating communication on behalf of the CEO, including drafting correspondence, presentations and briefing materials.
- Supporting Board, Executive and senior leadership meetings, ensuring papers and actions are managed effectively.
- Tracking key actions and commitments to ensure follow-through.
- Managing confidential and highly sensitive information with complete discretion.
- Supporting the CEO with specific projects, business initiatives and strategic priorities as required.
- Working closely with the wider Executive Leadership Team and other senior support functions.
- Identifying potential issues, conflicts and opportunities before they arise and taking appropriate action.
- Ensuring the CEO's time and attention remain focused on the organisation's highest priorities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You
We are looking for an exceptional Executive Assistant who is comfortable operating at the highest level of an organisation.
You will be highly organised and naturally proactive, with the confidence and judgement to operate independently and make decisions about priorities without needing constant direction.
You are likely to have experience supporting a CEO, Managing Director, Chair, Board or senior executive within a complex, fast-paced organisation.
Importantly, this is a role for someone who can operate as a true business partner to the CEO rather than simply an administrator.
You will bring:
- Significant experience in a senior EA or Executive Support role.
- Experience supporting a high-profile senior executive in a complex or fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
- Excellent judgement and the confidence to challenge or influence when appropriate.
- The ability to anticipate requirements and stay several steps ahead.
- Absolute discretion and experience handling highly confidential information.
- A calm, composed approach when working under significant pressure.
- Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- The ability to build credibility and relationships quickly with senior stakeholders.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills and the ability to produce high-quality presentations and documents.
- A flexible and pragmatic approach, with the ability to adapt quickly when priorities change.
