Hours: Part-time, 15 hours per week spread over 4-5 weekdays
Location: Edinburgh (hybrid, 80% remote)
We are looking for a highly organised individual with strong attention to detail to take real ownership of the day-to-day running of our consultancy, working directly with our CEO for 15 hours a week. The work is varied and trusted, and there is genuine flexibility in when and where you do it.
About Metron Growth
At Metron Growth, we help companies get more out of their customer data. Our small team of subject matter experts partners with the marketing, product and data teams at digital natives (including Deliveroo, Pleo & Picnic), established enterprises and scaleups. Together we build the stacks, strategies and customer journeys that turn data into growth.
We are profitable, independent and have been remote since day one. We have delivered over 100 projects across more than 30 tools. We are growing quickly, and a growing consultancy generates a lot of work behind the scenes: invoices, contracts, onboarding, travel and coordination. Right now most of that sits with our CEO. This role exists to change that.
Our clients come to us for deep technical expertise, and they tend to stick around:
- Picnic: "No fluff or endless slide decks. Just clear, practical insights that you can actually act on."
- Deliveroo: "Deep technical expertise... solving a major headache for the team."
- Turo: "A valuable and impactful combination of deep expertise and excellent client service."
- Calendly: "Cannot sing their praises enough."
The Role
You will work directly with Stuart, our CEO, taking over the operational and administrative work that currently fills his week. You will run these processes, improve them and be trusted to get on with it.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
- Finance & Suppliers: Raise invoices, chase for payment, make sure bills are paid and work closely with our accountants.
- Client Lifecycle Management: Own client onboarding and offboarding end to end, so every client knows what to expect at each step.
- Employee & Contractor Onboarding: Get new employees and contractors set up with everything they need from day one.
- Sales Support: Schedule calls, prepare signature packets, co-ordinate with procurement, legal and IT teams.
- Executive Support: Manage our CEO's inbox and diary, book travel and meetings, keep an eye on project status and handle the general admin that keeps a growing business tidy.
What You Bring to the Table
- Proven Experience: At least 2 years as an executive assistant, personal assistant, office manager or operations administrator, ideally supporting a founder or senior leader in a small business.
- Proactive Ownership: You take responsibility for whole processes rather than individual tasks, spot what needs doing and fix things before anyone asks.
- Attention to Detail: Invoices that reconcile, diaries that never double-book and documents that go out clean. You notice the small things others miss.
- Highly Organised: You keep many small threads moving at once across finance, sales and people.
- Clear Communicator: Comfortable chasing an overdue payment and writing a client-facing email that needs no editing.
- Discretion: You will handle bank payments, contracts and our CEO's inbox. You treat that kind of access with care.
- Numerate: Confident with invoices, payment runs and working with accountants. Xero experience is a bonus.
- Comfortable with Technology: You pick up new tools quickly, are at home in cloud software and are keen to use AI to get more done.
