Our client is a leading specialty insurance and reinsurance business with a long-standing track record of delivering strong underwriting performance and market-leading results. Their underwriting portfolio includes aviation, energy, marine, property, terrorism & political violence, contingency, and other specialty insurance classes, alongside property and specialty reinsurance, retrocession, whole account solutions, and bespoke risk transfer products. The business offers a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment with a strong focus on technical excellence and sustainable growth.

Role Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all communications, including calls, emails, reports, letters – incoming and outgoing
  • Inbox management: Prioritise and manage demands and correspondence
  • Intensive diary management; gatekeeping and time management skills of the essence
  • Travel management: arrange itineraries, bookings, meetings, and all transfers for business travel
  • Expenses: process all expenses and act as proxy for direct reports
  • Maintain relationships with key members of the company and regulators
  • Collaborate with Finance PA on meetings, projects, deadlines, statutory requirements
  • Anticipate and plan for various reporting deadlines within the finance calendar
  • Support with quarterly Board Meeting including document management, deadlines, review process
  • Co-manage invoices, contracts and systems regarding CFO and Finance Department
  • Create and assist with office processes and systems to enhance company operations
  • Assist with daily ad-hoc office management related issues
  • Co-manage on-boarding for new starters and off-boarding for leavers
  • Cover for EAs (holidays, sick days)
  • Manage deliverables and follow-ups both incoming and outgoing
  • Act as first point of call and delegate tasks accordingly on behalf of CFO
  • Coordinate annual and mid-year review process
  • Assist with HR matters for and behalf of the CFO
  • On call out of hours during peak times
