Executive Assistant - temporary, immediate start

Northallerton / Hybrid

£36,677 per annum | 37 Hours | Permanent


Be at the heart of the action

We're seeking an exceptional Executive Assistant to support our Chief Executive and senior leadership team in a role that combines executive support, governance, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the organisation, helping to ensure strong leadership, effective decision-making, and excellent stakeholder relationships across Broadacres.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive support to the Chief Executive, including managing a complex diary, meetings, priorities, and correspondence.
  • Act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the Chief Executive.
  • Coordinate stakeholder events, visits, and external engagement activities.
  • Support Executive Team meetings by preparing agendas, taking minutes, and tracking actions.
  • Provide project support and lead small projects as required.
  • Prepare and publish Board and Committee papers and documentation.
  • Support Board, Committee, and governance activities, including recruitment, induction, and development of Board members.
  • Maintain governance records and documentation, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Arrange travel, events, and meetings for senior colleagues and Board members.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

About You

  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, professional, and able to work independently.
  • Detail-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Comfortable building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information appropriately.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Significant experience in an Executive Assistant, Executive PA, or similar senior support role.
  • Experience managing complex diaries and competing priorities.
  • Experience taking minutes in formal meetings.
  • Experience handling confidential information.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and project management skills.
  • High level of IT literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent qualifications.
