About Molecular Titans
Molecular Titans is a deep-tech chemistry spin-out from the University of Bradford. Its patented Artemis platform captures, concentrates, and identifies infectious organisms directly from a sample, without the delay of laboratory culture, addressing a problem shared across clinical diagnostics, food safety, and industrial contamination control, where decisions are currently held up waiting for laboratory results.
Built on over a decade of academic research and protected by two international patent families, Artemis is now validated across four active industrial pilots spanning biofilm disruption, food safety, point-of-care diagnostics, and international medical aid. The company is transitioning from a grant-funded research platform to a commercial business-to-business (B2B) business, selling Artemis directly and licensing it into higher-value regulated medical technologies.
Having secured over £5.5m in academic grant funding and completed a year of structured market discovery, Molecular Titans is now raising a Seed round to scale manufacture, convert its pilots into commercial supply and licensing agreements, and build the team required for growth.
Role Specification
Strategic Leadership
- Provide clear strategic direction as Molecular Titans transitions from an academic spin-out to a commercially focused, scalable business-to-business (B2B) deep-tech business
- Work closely with the founding team to sharpen market positioning and prioritization across multiple applications
- Identify and pursue high-impact growth opportunities, strategic partnerships, and licensing routes that accelerate product-market fit and long-term value creation
- Lead the development of a credible go-to-market strategy that addresses fast-access B2B revenue (material supply, licensing) alongside longer-term, higher-value regulated markets (medical diagnostics)
Commercialisation & Go-to-Market
- Closely support the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with commercial negotiations with partners and licensees, securing terms that protect margin and long-term value while converting pilots into revenue
- Support the conversion of existing industrial pilots (biofilm disruption, food safety, point-of-care diagnostics, international medical aid) into commercial supply and licensing agreements
- Leverage sector networks in diagnostics, life-science tools, food safety, or industrial biotech to generate new commercial traction and open doors with prospective customers and strategic partners
- Guide pricing, packaging, and commercial model development across Molecular Titans' dual routes to market: direct material supply/licensing and co-development for regulated medical technologies

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
