Engagement: Short-term freelance consultancy

Platinum Foods is looking for an experienced Executive Chef Consultant to work with our team on a short-term basis.

We're seeking a highly skilled chef with extensive experience in Pan-Asian cuisine to help refine our existing menu, develop and perfect selected dishes, and share professional techniques with our kitchen team.

Scope of Work

  • Review and refine our current Pan-Asian menu.
  • Teach our team how to prepare selected dishes to a consistently high standard.
  • Recommend improvements to recipes, presentation, and flavour profiles.
  • Help standardise cooking methods and portioning.
  • Advise on ingredient selection, kitchen workflow, and food quality.
  • Share practical knowledge and best practices gained from senior culinary experience.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Senior Head Chef.
  • Strong expertise in Pan-Asian cuisine.
  • Experience developing and refining restaurant menus.
  • Excellent coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Available for a short-term, hands-on consultancy in London or Surrey.
  • Proficiency in kitchen operations, including staff supervision, workflow organization, and quality control.
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and regulatory compliance in professional kitchens.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training is preferred; relevant certifications are an advantage.
