Executive Chef (Nutrition and Hydration Lead) | Home-Based with UK Travel
£50,000 + Car Allowance
A well-prepared meal can be one of the highlights of a resident’s day. As our Executive Chef and Nutrition and Hydration Lead, you will help make that experience a consistent part of life across Care Concern Group.
This is an opportunity to shape our culinary offer across the organisation, combining creative menu development with the expertise needed to support residents’ nutritional and hydration needs.
Reporting to our Head of Hospitality, you will support and develop our Group Development Chefs, helping to turn ideas into dishes, menus and practical standards that our kitchen teams can deliver with confidence.
Contract
- £50,000 per annum & Car Allowance
- 40 hours per week
- Home based with UK travel
- Company pension scheme
- Generous annual leave entitlement
- Mobile phone and laptop
- Opportunity to work across a growing national care portfolio
The Role
You will lead the development of our food offer, using your knowledge of ingredients, culinary trends and care home catering to create menus that residents want to eat. Taste, presentation and choice will sit alongside nutrition, cultural preferences and individual dietary requirements.
The opportunity extends from the first recipe idea to the meal served in a home. Working with Group Development Chefs, Operational Area Chefs and colleagues across the business, you will introduce new menu cycles and concepts, making sure teams understand how to deliver them well.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

As our lead for nutrition and hydration, you will provide advice and practical support to the business. You will use feedback, complaints, stakeholder reports and budget information to identify where support is needed and where improvements will make the greatest difference.
You will develop relevant workshops in nutrition, hydration, catering and food safety, and coach our chefs to strengthen their skills. Budget control, responsible use of ingredients and safe working practices will be part of how you build quality that can be sustained across the group.
The role is home-based with frequent UK travel. Time in our homes will help you understand the challenges teams face, build trusted relationships and see how your work translates into residents’ daily experience.
