EXECUTIVE CHEF MANAGER
We are now recruiting for an Executive Chef Manager to join our team at St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College in North Kensington, London.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Executive Chef, Chef Manager, Head Chef or Catering Manager to lead a busy education catering operation, delivering fresh, high-quality food and an excellent customer experience for students and staff.
St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College supports students aged 16–19 and has a strong focus on education, personal development and preparing students for their future. As Executive Chef Manager, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming, professional and high-quality catering service.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Leading and managing the day-to-day kitchen and catering operation
- Preparing and delivering high-quality, fresh and nutritious food
- Planning and preparing varied menus suitable for a sixth-form environment
- Leading, motivating, training and developing the kitchen team
- Managing food ordering, deliveries, stock control, stock rotation and storage
- Managing food costs, budgets and wastage
- Maintaining high standards of Food Safety, HACCP, COSHH and Health & Safety
- Ensuring food is prepared and presented to company standards, including portion control and presentation
- Maintaining accurate unit paperwork and catering records
- Building strong relationships with the College, students, staff and catering team
- Responding professionally to customer feedback and queries
- Ensuring consistently high standards of food quality, service, cleanliness and customer experience

Our Ideal Executive Chef Manager Will
- Have proven experience as an Executive Chef, Chef Manager, Head Chef, Catering Manager or Kitchen Manager
- Ideally have experience in education catering, school catering, sixth-form, college, university or contract catering
- Have strong kitchen management and team leadership experience
- Be passionate about fresh food and delivering excellent customer service
- Have experience in menu planning, volume catering and food production
- Have strong knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP and Health & Safety
- Have experience managing suppliers, ordering, stock control and food costs
- Be commercially aware, organised and able to manage a busy operation
- Be confident training and developing a catering team
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be hands-on, proactive and committed to delivering high standards
Role Details And Benefits
- £42,000 per annum
- 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Term time only – 44.6 weeks per year

As you will be working in an education environment, you must provide two employment/character references and we will also carry out an Enhanced DBS / Criminal Record Check, which we will pay for.
