Pay Range

£32,000 - £38,000

Working Hours/Pattern

Full-time, although we would be happy to consider applicants who are looking to work on a part-time basis. If you would like to explore this further, please discuss this with the talent partner for this role. Please note our ability to accommodate flexible working arrangements will vary from role to role, dependent on business requirements.

Please note this role requires travel to several offices including Cambridge, Harlow, Huntingdon, Peterborough, Stevenage, Wisbech, Ely, and Saffron Walden, therefore a UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will also need to live within a commutable distance to these offices.

What is the role about?

An Executive Coach supports professional, managerial, and graduate level unemployed participants to improve their employability through 1:2:1 coaching and group training sessions, both in-person and remotely. They will use various techniques to support them in achieving sustainable employment. They will also organise and attend employer events and build relationships to support participants into work.

Just some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with Employment Advisers to identify suitable participants that require additional tailored support such as graduates and managers
  • Developing and managing employer relationships to secure suitable employment opportunities
  • Develop participants employability and job search strategy skills by carrying assisting with CV creation, job searching, interview skills, and identifying job goals
  • Facilitate group training sessions with the aim of progressing them to achieve suitable employment

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with:

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience of working in a customer facing and performance target driven environment. Examples of such experience may include working as an Executive Coach on a similar contract, being a Recruitment Consultant or experience of Business Development roles, sales targets in a retail business or call centre etc.
  • Experience of running group and individual training / development sessions.
  • A minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma.
  • GCSE English Language at a minimum of a Grade B (or equivalent Level 2 qualification). OR achievement of a Level 2 in Literacy Assessment at interview stage.
  • Technical skills include strong administration skills, good computer/technology skills, basic numeracy skills, and good written communication/record keeping skills.
  • Personal interests include interest in people and willingness to learn.
  • Personal circumstances include willingness to travel around the region and access to own vehicle (e.g. to meet Participants/Employers).

Desirable Criteria:

  • Direct previous experience of a similar role. Roles considered to be similar include the role of Executive Coach on a welfare to work contract or a publicly funded service.
  • Degree or relevant qualification. Degree topics may include psychology, sociology, social care/science. Relevant qualifications would include Information Advice and Guidance NVQs, Brokerage Standard, Social Work qualifications, or qualifications relating to work with the specific client groups this role will involve.
  • Level 3 or 4 NVQ in Advice & Guidance or equivalent.
  • Experience or a strong understanding of self-employment and business start-up processes.
  • Fluency in community languages. Community languages may include Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Somali, Vietnamese, Dari, Yoruba, Turkish, French, Spanish, Albanian, Arabic, Bengali, Farsi, Gujarati, Polish, Serbian, and Greek (Dependent on programme).
  • Technical skills include the ability to use technology to deliver results and knowledge of welfare/benefits system.
  • Personal interests include interest in career and self-development.
