Love keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes?
National Express Bus is looking for a Bus Exec Coordinator to support our UK Bus Managing Director and the wider Bus Operational Executive team.
If you are super organised, great with people, and love a role where no two days look the same, this one is for you. You will be the central cog keeping our senior team prepped, on time, and focused on driving the business forward.
You will mainly be based at NX House, with the flexibility to support from other company locations whenever needed.
What you will actually be doing
- Exec Support: Keep calendars in check, manage diaries, schedule meetings, and make sure the Exec team is fully prepped before stepping into the room.
- Travel & Events: Build seamless travel itineraries (flights, trains, hotels) and help organise internal events from venue hunting to on the day logistics.
- Action Tracking: Take accurate meeting notes, track key action points, and gently chase down owners for updates to make sure stuff gets done.
- Reporting & Data: Help collate weekly and monthly exec reports, review operational data, and spot chances to challenge how things are done.
- Admin & Finance: Manage expenses and supplier payments via eBis, keep office supplies stocked, and arrange catering for key sessions.
- Processes & Documentation: Draft and edit policy documents, help roll out system updates, and support the business with key accreditations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
