Location: London – full time onsite

Start Date: September

End Date: 9 Months contract

This is an exciting opportunity to join Deloitte Operations for an engagement with one of our clients.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Director, Portfolio Oversight and Reporting to join a leading portfolio monitoring team on a contract basis. This role supports strategies in Direct Lending and Strategic Opportunities, overseeing portfolio performance, capital formation, investor reporting, and financing activities.

A key aspect of the role is to ensure the quality and accuracy of outputs produced by junior team members, maintaining rigorous standards before information is shared with stakeholders, investment committees, or investors.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Monitoring and Oversight

  • Oversee portfolio company trading data and review junior team outputs
  • Review monthly Watchlist and Quarterly Portfolio Review presentations
  • Manage monthly portfolio performance dashboards and indicators to identify signs of underperformance and guide fund modelling for recovery scenarios.
  • Develop portfolio and pipeline dashboards along with fund outturn modelling.

Capital Formation and Investor Reporting

  • Maintain and update fundraising models for Direct Lending and Strategic Opportunities funds.
  • Support bespoke structuring initiatives through detailed fund modelling.
  • Update fund outturn models forecasting calls and distributions for limited partners.
  • Oversee delivery of bespoke datasets, respond to investor queries, and manage quarterly regulatory reporting, ensuring outputs meet quality standards.

Financing and Leverage Management

  • Optimise fund leverage throughout the fund lifecycle, including lender negotiations for asset eligibility waivers and valuation adjustments.
  • Manage leverage facility reporting, including borrowing base and regulatory compliance reporting.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Expertise in building, reviewing, and stress-testing fund-level financial models, including distribution waterfalls, asset cash flows, leverage, and IRR/MOIC metrics.
  • Experience with portfolio monitoring, fund modelling, or investor reporting within private credit, direct lending, or private equity sectors.
  • Familiarity with Python and Power BI is advantageous.
