EXECUTIVE HEAD CHEF LUXURY COUNTRY HOUSE HOTEL COTSWOLDS

A GBP 70,000 + TRONC

We are working with a beautiful country house hotel in the Cotswolds on the appointment of an Executive Head Chef to lead the culinary operation and help shape its next chapter.

This is a senior appointment for someone with a strong pedigree, a polished approach and the commercial understanding to take ownership of both the kitchen and the numbers behind it.

THE ROLE

The hotel currently operates with an English and French:influenced food offering, with a focus on quality produce, seasonality and well:executed dishes rather than unnecessary complexity.

The successful chef will have the opportunity to develop this further and bring their own ideas to the operation.

There is a clear commercial focus to the role, with opportunities to grow lunch trade, launch a new afternoon tea offering and continue developing the dinner operation.

You will work closely with the wider management team and will be expected to understand the balance between creativity, guest experience and profitability.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
