Job Description

Executive Housekeeper Responsibilities

This new hotel, comprising 222 keys, is preparing for opening, and we are seeking an experienced Executive Housekeeper to lead this exciting venture from inception.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete housekeeping operations for a 222-key hotel from pre-opening through full operational capacity
  • Develop and implement comprehensive housekeeping policies, procedures, and standards aligned with brand guidelines and guest expectations
  • Recruit, train, and manage a housekeeping team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Establish quality assurance protocols and conduct regular inspections to ensure consistent cleanliness and maintenance standards across all guest rooms and public areas
  • Manage housekeeping budgets, including labour costs, supplies, and equipment procurement, whilst maintaining cost efficiency
  • Liaise with other departments (Front Office, Maintenance, Guest Services) to ensure seamless hotel operations and exceptional guest experiences
  • Implement sustainable and environmentally responsible housekeeping practices
  • Develop staff scheduling and workload management systems to optimise productivity and team morale
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment
  • Handle guest complaints and concerns related to housekeeping services with professionalism and discretion
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations throughout all housekeeping operations
  • Lead the pre-opening setup, including staff induction, training programs, and operational readiness
  • Report to senior management on departmental performance, challenges, and recommendations
