Executive Housekeeper
Rockliffe Hall, Darlington
Hours: 40 hours per week
Reports To: General Manager & Operations Manager
Responsible For: Housekeepers
Overview
As Executive Housekeeper at Rockliffe, you will play a key role in transforming and maintaining the exceptional cleanliness, presentation, and luxury standards across the resort. Working closely with senior leaders and operational teams, you will oversee the day-to-day housekeeping operation, ensuring guests consistently experience the highest levels of comfort, care, and attention to detail expected within a 5-star environment.
This hands-on leadership role is ideal for an experienced housekeeping professional who leads by example, supports and develops their team, and takes pride in delivering outstanding guest experiences through operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily housekeeping operation across the resort, ensuring all guest rooms and public areas consistently meet 5-star presentation standards.
- Lead, motivate, and support the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional service and productivity levels.
- Assist in implementing housekeeping procedures, quality checks, and operational standards aligned with Rockliffe’s luxury brand.
- Monitor guest feedback and support prompt service recovery to maintain high guest satisfaction levels.
- Support rota planning, stock control, and the effective management of housekeeping supplies and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience throughout the resort.

Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a housekeeping management or supervisory role within a luxury hotel, resort, or high-quality hospitality environment.
- Strong people leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for maintaining exceptional standards.
- Strong organisational and communication skills with a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Good understanding of housekeeping operations, productivity management, and guest service standards.
- A hands-on and flexible leadership style with a commitment to delivering excellence.
