Executive, Marketing & Communications

Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) | London / Hybrid | Permanent

A broad marketing & communications role with real ownership, visibility and variety.

Are you a confident marketing and communications professional who loves writing, creating content and turning ideas into engaging communications?

Would you enjoy a role where no two weeks are quite the same – working across email, social media, digital content, campaigns, events, PR, podcasts and video?

The Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) is looking for a Marketing & Communications Executive to join its small, collaborative team.

This is an opportunity to take real ownership from day one, work closely with senior stakeholders and build your experience across a broad marketing and communications remit.

You’ll work with colleagues across the LMA, its members and the wider Lloyd’s market, giving you the opportunity to build valuable relationships and develop a strong understanding of one of the world’s leading specialty insurance markets.

With a supportive team and plenty of variety, this is a role where you can develop your skills, bring ideas to the table and grow your career.

What will you be doing?

You’ll be a hands-on marketer and communicator, with writing at the heart of the role.

Your work will include:

  • Writing and editing bulletins, newsletters, articles, event invitations, press releases, reports, thought leadership and campaign content.
  • Managing email marketing and CRM communications, ensuring the right messages reach the right audiences.
  • Creating and coordinating the LinkedIn content calendar, turning the latest LMA activity and market developments into engaging social content.
  • Keeping the LMA website up to date and working with the external website agency on content and improvements.
  • Planning communications for reports, campaigns and events, coordinating contributors, approvals and deadlines through to delivery.
  • Supporting PR and media activity, working with the LMA’s PR agency and helping identify opportunities to raise the organisation’s profile.
  • Supporting podcasts and video content, from coordinating contributors through to production.
  • Using Canva and other design tools to create social media graphics, invitations and other visual content.
  • Monitoring engagement across email, social media and the website, helping produce quarterly reports and using insight to improve future communications.
  • Working with colleagues across the business to identify opportunities to engage members and bring their work to life.
  • Taking ownership of individual projects and confidently managing stakeholders, deadlines and approvals.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is a role where you’ll be encouraged to bring ideas to the table, not simply execute instructions.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working across different areas of marketing and communications and is keen to continue developing their skills and experience.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Strong copywriting, editing and proofreading skills, with an excellent eye for detail.
  • Hands-on experience across areas such as content, email marketing and social media.
  • Experience using a CRM or email marketing platform.
  • The confidence to adapt your writing for different audiences and turn complex information into clear, engaging content.
  • Basic design skills and experience using Canva or a similar tool.
  • Experience coordinating campaigns, projects, contributors and approvals.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work to deadlines.

Experience within insurance, financial services or a membership organisation would be advantageous, as would experience with WordPress, Google Analytics, PR, events, podcasts or video.

An English degree or similar qualification would be desirable, but we’re particularly interested in the quality of your writing and your practical marketing and communications experience.

Why join the LMA?

The LMA sits at the heart of the Lloyd’s market, representing 59 Lloyd’s managing agents and members’ agents and working to make the market a better place.

As part of a small team, you’ll have visibility and access that can be difficult to find in a larger organisation. You’ll work with senior stakeholders, meet people across the Lloyd’s market and have the opportunity to take ownership of projects rather than being one small part of a much larger function.

You’ll also have the opportunity to develop across multiple areas of marketing and communications, supported by a manager who is committed to helping people grow.

If you’re ambitious, curious and enjoy variety, this is a role where you can make a real contribution while building your career.

Interested?

If you’re a strong writer, an organised and creative marketer, and someone who enjoys variety and taking ownership, we’d love to hear from you.

This could be the ideal next step for someone looking to broaden their marketing and communications experience while building a strong network across the Lloyd’s market.
