The Royal Society of Medicine (RSM) is entering an exciting new chapter, with a new strategy launching from October 2026 focused on growing member value, expanding learning opportunities, strengthening financial sustainability and increasing our impact across healthcare.
We are looking for an exceptional Executive Office & Governance Manager to work closely with our Chief Executive, Chief Finance & Operations Officer and President.
🔹 About the role
This is a high-profile and varied role at the heart of the organization, combining executive support, governance administration and organizational coordination.
You will act as a trusted partner to the Chief Executive, helping to coordinate strategic priorities while ensuring the smooth operation of the Executive Office, Council and committee processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide high-level support to the Chief Executive, CFOO and President
- Manage complex diaries, meetings, travel and stakeholder engagements
- Support implementation of the RSM’s strategic plan and organizational priorities
- Coordinate Council and committee meeting cycles, papers, minutes and actions tracking
- Support Trustees and governance processes
- Maintain organizational risk and business continuity documentation
- Manage contract registers and key renewals/deadlines
- Coordinate Executive Team actions, reporting and organizational projects
- Drive efficient ways of working through Microsoft 365 and Copilot

🔹 About you
We are looking for someone with:
- Experience supporting senior executives, boards or leadership teams
- Excellent organization, planning and prioritization skills
- Strong written communication and minute-taking skills
- Experience with governance, committee or board processes
- Excellent attention to detail and stakeholder management skills
- Confidence handling sensitive and confidential information
- Advanced Microsoft 365 skills
Experience within a charity, membership organization, professional body, university, Royal College or similar environment would be advantageous.
