About The Job

An opportunity has arisen for an Executive Pastry Chef to join us at Jumeirah Carlton Tower.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain productivity and team performance.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
  • Manage stock levels, food rotation, and costs by reducing waste and maintaining effective inventory control.
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships to secure quality ingredients and support kitchen operations.
  • Conduct menu costing, manage budgets, and monitor expenses to achieve financial targets.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field (High School Diploma considered with relevant experience).
  • Extensive culinary leadership experience within five-star hotels or high-end restaurants.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and HACCP standards.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, guests, suppliers, and business partners.
