About Connect Group
Connect Group is a global business events company specialising in the family office, private capital and investment industry. Through our flagship World Family Office Forum series, we bring together many of the world's most influential family offices, business owners, entrepreneurs, institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, private equity firms, venture capital investors, asset managers and business leaders through highly curated, invitation-only events across Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
Our events provide a trusted platform where leading families and investment professionals exchange ideas, build relationships and discuss the issues shaping global markets, private capital, wealth preservation, succession, governance and long-term investment strategies. We are proud to produce some of the industry's most respected gatherings, attracting senior decision-makers from the world's leading family offices and investment organisations.
We are looking for someone who wants far more than a traditional event management role. This is an opportunity to own and develop world-class international investment conferences that influence an entire industry. Initially, you will work alongside senior management as an Executive Producer, learning every aspect of our event production process before gradually assuming full responsibility for managing and growing an international portfolio of events as an Event Director.
The Role
As Executive Producer, you will be responsible for the strategic development, commercial performance and operational delivery of our events.
You will own every stage of the event lifecycle—from researching markets and designing conference agendas, to recruiting speakers, managing budgets, overseeing production and analysing post-event performance. AI tools can be used to assist you with these and other aspects of the role, while sound professional judgement and responsible handling of confidential information remain essential. Working closely with senior management, sales, marketing and operations, you will ensure every event delivers exceptional value to delegates, speakers and sponsors while achieving commercial objectives. Over time, you will assume full P&L responsibility for your events, operating with the autonomy and accountability of a CEO for each event under your management.
Key Responsibilities
Event Strategy & Ownership
- Take ownership of assigned events from concept through post-event review.
- Develop event concepts, positioning and long-term production strategies.
- Identify market opportunities and emerging investment themes.
- Define each event's value proposition and target audience.
- Act as the central decision-maker throughout the production process.
- Drive continual improvements to event quality, delegate experience and commercial performance.
- Ultimately assume full commercial ownership and P&L responsibility for assigned events.
Industry Research & Programme Development
- Develop a deep understanding of the global family office, wealth management and private capital ecosystem.
- Conduct extensive market research through industry interviews, competitor analysis and ongoing market monitoring.
- Build relationships with family office principals, CIOs, investment professionals and senior executives to understand their priorities and challenges.
- Research emerging investment trends, macroeconomic developments and industry issues.
- Design compelling conference agendas that position Connect Group as the market leader.
- Identify innovative session formats and discussion topics.
- Ensure all content remains commercially relevant, timely and valuable for our audience.
- Continuously benchmark our events against leading global conferences.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
