Job Title: Executive Producer – The News Agents Podcast
Company: Global
At Global, we think big, work hard, and never stand still. We’re the proud home of the best media and entertainment, driven by our talented and passionate people. Our mission? To make everyone’s day brighter — our Globallers, our audiences, our partners, and our communities. Whether we’re in the studio, building world-class technology, or securing record Outdoor advertising partnerships, we make sure we’re doing it as a team.
Your Role
As Executive Producer for The News Agents Podcast at Global, you will lead the editorial, creative, and operational delivery of one of the most influential daily news podcasts in the market, ensuring it remains agenda-setting, distinctive, and must-listen.
You’ll oversee the end-to-end production of the podcast, from editorial planning and talent management to day-to-day workflow management and leading the post-production edit process. You’ll combine first-rate editorial judgement with outstanding production skills, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of how audiences consume news across audio, video, social, and digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities

- Maintain and drive the editorial vision, tone, and ambition of The News Agents.
- Lead daily planning meetings to ensure coverage is timely, original, authoritative, and engaging.

- Ensure all output meets the highest journalistic, legal, editorial, and compliance standards.
- Drive distinctive storytelling formats, special episodes, and series.
- Troubleshoot editorial and operational issues quickly in a fast-moving news environment.
- Oversee the show’s post-production process and ensure consistently high-quality output.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
