We’re looking for an experienced Delivery Consultant / Search Consultant to join our growing team in Hertfordshire.
HF is a specialist executive search firm operating in a very specific corner of the technology market: robotics, automation, and supply chain technology.
We work with a portfolio of high-profile, international technology businesses and operate almost exclusively on retained search assignments across commercial and GTM functions.
This isn’t a 360 recruitment role and There is no business development target. Instead, you’ll work directly with the founders, take ownership of searches from brief through to completion, build relationships with senior candidates and, as you develop, increasingly own relationships with our clients.
The work is high-touch and consultative. Our clients have high standards, and we’re trusted to represent them properly in what are often niche and business-critical searches.

We’d love to speak to someone who:
- Has experience in executive search, retained recruitment, or high-end agency recruitment
- Ideally has recruited within technology and GTM — Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Solutions Consulting, or Leadership
- Is articulate, commercially minded, and comfortable speaking with senior executives
- Can run a thorough search process rather than relying on job adverts and inbound applications
- Is organised, accountable, and wants genuine ownership of their work
- Has a strong academic background — degree educated would be preferred
- Wants to develop into a client-facing search consultant rather than spend their career cold calling for new business

We work in a hybrid environment with two days a week from home, and we’ve deliberately tried to build a grown-up culture: autonomy, trust, and high standards without unnecessary KPIs or presenteeism.
We also like enjoying the success of the business together - quarterly team activities and lunches, plus an annual team trip when we hit our company target. Spain is on the agenda for 2027.
For someone coming from a good recruitment/search business who enjoys the delivery and relationship side of the job but has become tired of relentless BD targets, this could be a really interesting move.
