Executive Search Researcher
Office-based or fully remote | Full-time
Verbatim Exec is the dedicated executive search brand of Verbatim Pharma, an established global recruitment business supporting the life sciences sector.
Following the successful completion of multiple C-suite appointments and growing demand from our clients for senior-level search, we have brought our executive search expertise together under a dedicated brand.
We are now looking for an experienced Executive Search Researcher to work alongside our Head of Executive Search and support the continued growth of Verbatim Exec.
The role
You will play an integral role in delivering retained executive search assignments across the UK, Europe, and the US.
Working closely with our Head of Executive Search, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging high-calibre senior and C-suite candidates while providing detailed market intelligence throughout each assignment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive market mapping and competitor research
- Identifying senior executives and specialist leadership talent
- Building detailed target-company and candidate lists
- Approaching and engaging prospective candidates
- Conducting initial candidate qualification calls
- Producing candidate profiles, market insights, and search updates
- Managing research activity throughout the full search process
- Supporting the delivery of an exceptional client and candidate experience
- Contributing to the continued development of our research tools, processes, and capabilities

What we’re looking for
Previous experience within executive search is essential. You should understand how retained search assignments are delivered and be confident researching, approaching, and engaging senior-level candidates.
You will also need:
- Strong market-mapping and candidate-identification skills
- Confidence communicating with senior executives
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- A thorough, organised, and detail-focused approach
- The ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities
- A proactive and collaborative mindset
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and other executive search databases or research tools
Previous experience within life sciences, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, or pharmaceutical services would be highly desirable, but it is not essential.
