The Role
This is a board-level role that drives the agency’s growth through social, content and influence. You’ll lead a team of 45+ people across global markets, report directly to the Founders, and own all social, content and influencer programme output. Your job is to build the content capabilities that make 50 Sport distinctive, expand into new markets and services. The agency is growing; new clients, new markets, new specialisms. You’ll define the role the content and influence department plays to enable that growth.
What You’ll Do

- Set goals, shape culture, develop talent. Be the leader people want to work for.
- Own all social media, content and influencer programme output, quality, and performance. Your standards set the bar across the agency.
- Build best-in-class influencer and creator capability. Define what this means for 50 Sport and for our clients.
- Make the agency famous. Award-winning work. Thought leadership. Case studies that attract clients. A reputation that attracts talent.
- Lead content innovation. Cultural IP content, AI applications, emerging formats. Stay ahead of what’s next.
- Define the content frameworks and standards that stretch across markets and clients. Ensure we deliver at the level our clients expect, consistently.
- Present to the ELT and Founders every six months with strategy updates, growth opportunities, and performance data.
- Lead the content and influence direction for successful new business pitches.
- Drive financial growth. Identify new products and services. Build offerings clients want. Grow revenue through content and influence.
- Champion cross-departmental collaboration. Work with peers (Executive Creative Director and Executive Client & Operations Director) and all teams to ensure content and influence drive every pitch and programme.
- Build and maintain senior-level client relationships, acting as the executive lead on the agency’s most significant accounts.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
