Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years current clinical experience
- RN license - NH or other Compact State
Major Responsibilities:
- Maintains hospital and specialty practice standards.
- Integrates ethical principles in all aspects of role.
- Communicates effectively with all levels of staff and considers cultural implications in this communication.

Educator
- Confers with management/staff to assess education needs related to staff competency; organizational goals; and individual development plans.
- Develops; plans; presents and evaluates educational activities using appropriate AV resources; teaching strategies; QI techniques and other resources to engage learners in critical thinking and problem solving.
- Actively involves the learner in the process of needs assessment and provides feedback as indicated.
- Provides guidance to advance career development.
- Possesses and exhibits a strong knowledge base of teaching and learning.
- Acts as a nurse planner for continuing education in accordance with ANCC.
Facilitator
- Assists with strategic planning by sitting on inter/intradisciplinary teams and actively participating on these teams.
- Serves as a role model in implementation of professional practice in the clinical setting and exhibiting a positive attitude about lifelong learning.
- Facilitates an empowered environment that recognizes and responds to psychosocial; development and professional practice issues through mentoring; group support; personal consultation; team building; resource identification and networking.
Change agent
- Assists in identifying need for change within the organization then uses appropriate strategies to modify policies; procedures; and processes as needed to effect desired change.
- Uses influence to facilitate the initiation of; adoption of; and adaptation to change.
Consultant role
- Assists in the integration of new practice through effective communication and intrapersonal relationship skills.
- Assists individuals and groups in defining problems and identifying internal and external resources.
Researcher
- Integrates relevant research outcomes into professional practice through effective learning activities.
- Develops management/staff knowledge and skill in using the research process to promote evidence-based practice.
- Assists staff with systematic evaluative research to improve outcomes by providing up-to-date literature/publications.

Leader
- Supports organizational and administrative structures to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Exhibits effective negotiation skills and organizational skills.
- Ensures that educator's activities are congruent with the organization's mission; vision; and goals.
- Participates in professional association; specialty organizations.
- Responsible for own lifelong learning/professional development and maintains educational and clinical competencies appropriate to their role.
Pay Range:
$37.95 - $66.13
The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
