Job Summary:

The Experience Architect is responsible for defining and driving a coherent end-to-end user experience across SLB’s Data & AI product portfolio, with particular focus on the Lumi Data & AI Platform and Tela agentic assistant.

Reporting to the Business Line Director and working as a peer to Product Managers, the Experience Architect provides the cross-product experience perspective—ensuring individual product decisions come together as a simple, consistent, and differentiated Data & AI experience.

Typical Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Define the experience vision and architecture across Lumi, Tela, and the broader Data & AI portfolio.
  • Design end-to-end journeys spanning data, AI, applications, and agentic interactions.
  • Establish experience principles, patterns, and guardrails that create consistency across products while enabling product teams to move quickly.
  • Shape how agentic AI changes the way users interact with data, workflows, and applications, including the relationship between conversational, autonomous, and traditional UI experiences.
  • Partner with Product Managers to translate portfolio strategy and customer needs into coherent product experiences.
  • Work with UX, engineering, AI, data, and architecture teams to connect experience intent with product and technology decisions.
  • Identify cross-product friction, duplication, gaps, and opportunities that individual product teams may not see.
  • Prototype and communicate future experience concepts to align leadership, customers, and delivery teams.
  • Champion simplicity, usability, trust, and consistency across the Data & AI portfolio.

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in experience architecture, product design, UX strategy, service design, or digital product strategy.
  • Experience shaping complex enterprise software, platforms, or AI-enabled products.
  • Strong systems thinking with the ability to connect users, workflows, products, data, AI, and technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence product direction and work effectively alongside senior Product Managers and technical leaders.
  • Excellent at turning complex concepts into clear journeys, models, prototypes, and narratives.
  • Comfortable operating strategically while engaging deeply enough with products and technology to make the vision actionable.
  • Experience with AI, agentic systems, data platforms, or industrial software is highly desirable.

The Experience Architect gives Product Managers a shared experience architecture within which they can optimize their individual products, while ensuring the portfolio as a whole delivers a distinctive and compelling way for users to work with data and AI.
